HR (Hot Rolled) Profiles

Strength, Economy, and Structural Reliability

HR (Hot Rolled) Profiles

Hot Rolled (HR) Profiles are robust structural steel sections manufactured at high temperatures to create economical and versatile building elements. This traditional production method delivers profiles with excellent strength-to-weight ratios, good workability, and cost-effectiveness, making them the backbone of construction and heavy industrial applications worldwide.

What are HR Profiles?

Hot Rolled Profiles are steel sections formed at temperatures above 1,700°F (925°C), which exceeds the steel's recrystallization temperature. This high-temperature process allows for significant material deformation and produces profiles with characteristic scale surface and slightly rounded corners. HR profiles include angles, channels, I-beams, H-beams, and other structural shapes that offer excellent load-bearing capabilities, good machinability, and superior weldability for applications where structural integrity is paramount.

Applications of HR Profiles
  • Essential in building construction for primary structural frameworks and supports.
  • Widely used in industrial construction for heavy-duty frameworks and supports.
  • Critical components in bridge construction for supporting structures and load-bearing elements.
  • Key materials in transportation infrastructure for tunnels, flyovers, and elevated roads.
  • Common in heavy equipment frames for construction and mining machinery.
  • Important in commercial and industrial buildings for large span roof structures.
  • Utilized in power transmission towers for electrical grid infrastructure.
  • Applied in agricultural equipment for machinery frames and implements.
  • Essential for warehouse racking and heavy-duty storage systems.
  • Used in material handling equipment such as cranes and hoists.

Production Range

HR Profiles can be produced in different sizes and thicknesses. Production ranges are as follows:

  • Thickness: 0.80 mm - 5.00 mm
  • Length: Standard length is 6 meters, but lengths between 4 and 12 meters can be delivered for special order

Advantages of HR Profiles

Exceptional Strength

HR profiles deliver superior load-bearing capacity and structural integrity, providing reliable performance in demanding applications that require significant strength and durability.

Superior Weldability

Hot rolled profiles feature excellent welding characteristics with minimal internal stresses, allowing for straightforward joining and fabrication in construction and manufacturing applications.

Good Machinability

The material properties of HR profiles make them readily machinable for drilling, cutting, and other fabrication operations without excessive tool wear or special equipment requirements.

Wide Range of Shapes

Hot rolling allows for the production of diverse structural shapes including angles, channels, beams, and specialty profiles, providing engineers and builders with comprehensive design options for various construction challenges.
